We had such a great time in this condo, close location to everything and literally skiing right out the door. The Fox came for a visit and we had lots of room here.

My family and I (wife, 3 children) stayed for a few days in Feb. Location is true ski in/out. Plenty of room for our entire family. Living space, bathrooms, kitchen, and all bedrooms were nicely appointed and clean. Wood for the real fire place was neatly stacked right outside the front door. WiFi was strong and supported a laptop, iPad, and 3 phones. You can easily walk down to the base area for food and activities, takes a little more effort to get back up the hill to the condo (in a good way). The condo is an end unit which gives the best views in the complex. We will be back again!

We loved staying in this property! It is decorated so beautifully, and has all the amenities we could need! We love that it is a historic cabin that is renovate and updated! Both Steve Ryan and Katie Harper were very friendly and helpful!

The Coal Creek Cabin was beyond our expectations. The pictures don't compare to the true experience of staying in this cabin . It is exactly the type of cozy, warm, homey cabin that you would want to share with your friends and family over the Christmas holiday. All amenities needed are provided, attention to detail and furnishings was first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and will likely do so again. This was our first time to CB and a very memorable holiday vacation. Steve was so very helpful in assisting me with the appropriate property to meet my family vacation needs. Steve provided helpful hints and places to eat, shop and when reservations should be made in advance. He came and checked in with us our first night and brought us a pack play for our use, as we brought our grandbaby with us, and ensured all our questions were answered regarding our stay and the property.

In addition there were some really nice touches like a very cute 2nd floor reading nook, jacuzzi and separate "hot tub towels", awesome wood-burning stove, master suite with luxury bathroom and shower/oversized tub, etc. my kids and husband love log cabins and this one was the perfect combination of rustic-charm and modern convenience! Just a dream log cabin along coal creek and a perfect respite from a day spent on the slopes. Ironhorse was terrific! It was an easy, great experience overall. Would definitely use this property management company again.

We came for spring break with 8 people and had plenty of room. The hot tub, fire pit and deck next to the creek were awesome. We will be back

We have stayed at Chateau Renard 3 times now, having slept in 3 different bedrooms. The beds are so comfy and the bedding is top notch, which isn't always the case with rentals. You will never forget you are in the mountains while staying in this home with its incredible views (especially sunset) and gorgeous wood beams throughout. Beautiful Roxy the fox is a frequent visitor to the property making any stay all the more special. For summer stays, the waterfall running just below the deck is not only beautiful but the tranquil sound blocks out unwanted noises. There really is nothing to criticize. We can't wait to stay here during ski season. Chateau Renard is our new favorite place to stay in Crested Butte.

I have been wanting to write this review since the minute I left this wonderful abode. I went to Crested Butte to spend a long weekend skiing. Once I went into the house, I did not want to leave. It was so comfortable and cozy that I had a hard time getting on the mountain. The lay out is perfect with the beautiful master bedroom on the upper floor along with the open living, dining and kitchen area. I loved the gorgeous wood floors and the well equipped kitchen. Everything I needed to cook all my meals was available. Also, The master bathroom was luxurious! As this was my pamper/ski weekend I even tried the wonderful huge jet bathtub. RELAXING! The location of the house is perfect: great views and a quiet neighborhood. I pulled my big truck into the roomy garage, and when it snowed the next morning, I had a warm vehicle to climb into. Once you park, you can access the downstairs through the garage and keep all your ski gear in a wonderful large storage alcove with well organized cubbies and hooks. Once again, the carpentry is just as beautiful down stairs and it is upstairs. There are adorable bedrooms downstairs that are roomy and attractively decorated. (I LOVE interior design, and I fell in love with this house). To be honest, I will use this house to compare all future guest houses. This house is the quintessential get away place, and I cannot wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful decks, smell the mountain summer air, and listen to the whispering night sounds. I cannot think of a single thing I would have changed about renting this house. The customer service of the management company, the locale of the home, and the amenities that were offered....ALL were superb. PS We ate out once at Teocalli Tamale. It is a small place with delicious food. You could tell this is where the locals hit when they get off the slopes. Good margaritas too, but it's not a table service place. We didn't care. It was YUMMY -

We had two families stay in the home. Four adults four kids. We were very comfortable. The main living area is very roomy with plenty of storage places for winter gear. The home is right on the bus line! The view from the hot tub is very relaxing and wonderful after a day of skiing. The home is clean and has all the comforts of home. The owners provided plenty of towels. They also had laundry packets and fabric sheets. Little details like providing ziplock baggies were a nice touch for kid lunches on the mountain. The only suggestion we had was to have a TV in the loft upstairs for kids to watch movies. Great stay!

Very comfortable and well appointed. Kitchen was thoughtfully stocked for cooking. Nice garage and hot tub!

Great to have a pop in visit from Steve to see how we were doing. They arranged our lift tics and rentals for kids, stocked the fridge and were very available, although we did not need a thing once we arrived, the home was perfect!

Fantastic place for our family reunion of 9 adults and 3 kids aged <1 year to almost 80! Perfect set-up for large mixed generational family to both come together and come apart into their own space as needed. Views from every room. True Ski-in / Ski-out from your driveway for intermediate skiers. Iron Horse Management was first class, and we only realized how good after we moved to our next rental in-town. We had a direct line to Steve when we needed help, whether it was delivering packages, helping getting out of the driveway when we got almost 2 feet of snow one night, or even sending someone over on Xmas Eve and Xmas to check on false alarms with the water systems. Fantastic stay and highly recommend for large groups seeking an amazing place to gather, ski and use as home base!

The house was amazing, absolutely beautiful. It was super clean. The bathrooms, sheets, etc. were all extremely clean. The house overall is just gorgeous. The views are outstanding. The layout for any family, large or small, is wonderful. We especially loved the pool table. The lower level was our favorite. We can't thank the owners enough for sharing such a home with us!

This house was great for our group of 10, beautiful views and close to the resort and town, we loved it!

We stayed for a week over Spring Break and the house was exactly what we'd hoped for. We had two families total (4 adults and 7 kids ranging in age between 14 to 6 years old). The house fit us all perfectly. The views off the back deck were amazing and we saw many fox and dog sledders. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed. Additionally, the fact that the shuttle passes right in front of the house and dropped off and picked up at our mailbox was a plus. With 11 people that made it very convenient to get to the base of the mountain. We will definitely come back to Crested Butte and would rent this house again for sure.

Wonderful vacation! This home was amazing! It was totally updated, and had beautiful views from every sitting spot. The walk to the slopes was so easy, the convenience made our ski days perfect for each person in our group. Iron Horse gave amazing attention to us as their clients! We really appreciated everything they did for us.

We loved the Anthracite house! Beautiful, spacious for two families, and perfect location! Steve at Iron Horse is the nicest and most professional person you could possibly ask for!! He made our experience the five star that it was!! He handled every phone call or question we had so fast that whatever the issue was..it was solved in 5 minutes!! I have never seen service like that anywhere!! Thank you Steve for making our vacation so perfect!!! You truly were awesome to deal with!! WE will request a house that you service from now on!!

We stayed 1 week in this spacious beautiful home. There were 6 adults and 5 children and plenty of space for all of us. I would highly recommend this home to anyone!!

fabulous place...felt like home. We loved the views and the proximity to cross country trails. Can't wait to fish the river in the summer. The house felt brand new and was very comfortable. Definitely will come back.
